The house itself is true adobe, built in the 1930s, its thick walls moderating the seasonal highs and lows. A kiva fireplace warms the home in the winter, while a cooling breeze runs from end to end in the heat of summer. Inside, decades of travel and an artist’s eye have left their signature: handmade tile from artisan workshops, lanterns of tin and glass that scatter light like small constellations, carved doors of varied woods, a vanity carried back from Bali crowned with a mirror from India. Every surface feels chosen, every corner shaped with intent. Both bedrooms, at opposite ends of house, have ensuite bathrooms.
Tucked away through handmade metal gates past the koi pond, a meditation garden awaits, its stones and custom tile accents arranged with a quiet sense of ceremony. The air there is hushed, yet alive — a place to pause, to feel the house breathe into the hillside.
